Strength & Conditioning

At JAphysio-performance we are committed to making Athletes faster, stronger and increasing readiness to cope with the demands of their chosen sport.
With our coaching staff possessing an extensive background in sport including national titles and International calls up. Followed by a successful transition into performance coaching across Olympic and Team sports including the likes of, AFC Wimbledon, Surrey Storm Netball and Matchroom boxing fighters.

Athletes can expect Strength & Conditioning beyonds the realms of lifting platforms, incorporating a more dynamic and advanced approach to improve sporting/daily performance.

Strength & Conditioning is not limited to elite athletes only but open to all with a desire to improve sporting and general health.

We have a simple Strategy:

  • Test and Monitor to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Planning and Programming to optimise and maximise performance
  • Coaching to ensure effectiveness and accurate application of programmes to produce results.

Range of Motion

Sporting movements such as running and jumping to more simplistic movements such as walking upstairs require a degree of flexibility to ensure correct movement patterns when performing tasks.

The training programme provided address the following:

  • Increase flexibility
  • Reduce risk of Injury
  • Improve posture

Speed and Agility Training

Team sports including Rugby and football require athletes to perform sprints in multiple directions. Individual sports such as Athletics and Boxing require maximal effort runs with minimal ground contact.

This element of training will Improve:

  • Maximal Sprint times
  • Develop Running technique
  • Improve ability to Change Direction

Strength & Power

Strength is the foundation of human movement. Being strong will enable you to withstand the demands of your sports, daily function tasks and preserve your long term joint health through maintaining bone health.
